March 2021

I’ve shared my city-related work and talked about the Manual for visual communication for the city of Idrija at the Faculty of Architecture, Ljubljana.

December 2020

Together with Barbara Ogrič Markež we recently completed the Manual for Visual Communication for the city of Idrija. The 200 page document analyses the many ways in which information is or could be displayed in the public space. We focused on the signage on facades across the city space. We dug deep into the archives to find photos of the past and appropriated good practices to suit the modern needs.

We developed many tailor-made solutions that speak to the heritage of this incredible mining city. The main part of the manual are photographs of the degraded city spaces – reimagined through simple, doable and cost efficient interventions.

Highlights from the manual are currently on display in the passage of Magazin, Idrija.
