We experience the city mainly through the sense of sight. The CityBeat project attempted to reconnect people to their urban environment through the sense of touch.

Sound measuring devices were put in central locations in Helsinki, Riga, Lisbon and London. The sound was then converted to heartbeat-like vibrations and could be felt upon touching this public art installation. The project was among finalists at Ars Electronica in Saragossa (PASEO Project).
